Does Qatar Airways have Qpoints or Avios?
As of March 2022, Qatar Airways transitioned from Qmiles to Avios, allowing passengers to earn and spend rewards in more places than before. Conveniently upgrade, book, and redeem other benefits with your Qatar avios while continuing to earn and redeem Qpoints and Qcredit wherever applicable.
What is the difference between Qmiles and Qatar Avios, Qpoints and Qcredits?
Qmiles (or the rewards earned when you or a nominated family member flies with Qatar Airways) are exchangeable for Avios at a rate of 1:1.
Qpoints are awarded when you upgrade or renew your Privilege Club membership tier. You earn Qpoints when you fly on a marketed or operated Qatar Airways flight or oneworld member airline. Members can earn Qpoints, depending on where they travel, which airline they choose, and which booking class they go with. Unlike Qmiles, they can be used to help upgrade or renew your membership tier within the Privilege Club. As Privilege Club members move up the membership tiers, they earn Qcredits which can then be used for a variety of premium membership perks like upgrades, extra baggage, and guest lounge access. You can check how many Qpoints you can earn from a flight by using the Qcalculator.
Qcredits are awarded to Gold and Platinum members through the Privilege Club. These credits can be redeemed on services such as upgrades, excess baggage on Qatar Airways, access to guest lounges, payment of award fees, and the like. Gold and Platinum members receive 40 and 60 Qcredits respectively, when upgrading or retaining Gold and Platinum memberships. Unused Qcredits expire in 24 months.
